Hi, I’m Simone. I write and help others write too.
I write screenplays and children’s fiction, and am available for publishing and marketing freelance work, as well as opportunities for schools – see services page.
I was part of the Literature Wales’ Representing Wales 2022-23 cohort, with award-winning author Patrice Lawrence as my mentor.

Children’s Fiction
I’ve completed the Story Foundations Course with Golden Egg Academy, and am currently working on a middle-grade novel. I write chapter books for Serial Mash, an online library for schools.
About me
I was born in Hampshire but grew up in rural Cumbria, and have lived in South Wales for the past two decades. I’ve been a primary school teacher and foster carer, and since 2015, I’ve worked in children’s publishing and regional arts administration. I’m a Welsh learner, but still working on my pronunciation of y llyfr yn y llyfrgell (the book in the library).
