Hi, I’m Simone. I write and help others write too.

I write screenplays and children’s fiction, and am available for publishing and marketing freelance work, as well as opportunities for schools – see services page.

I was part of the Literature Wales’ Representing Wales 2022-23 cohort, with award-winning author Patrice Lawrence as my mentor.

Children’s Fiction

I’ve completed the Story Foundations Course with Golden Egg Academy, and am currently working on a lower middle-grade novel. I’ve written three chapter books for Serial Mash, an online library for schools, and some Story Quests for National Literacy Trust Cymru which will be available soon.

About me

I was born in Hampshire but grew up in rural Cumbria, and have lived in South Wales for the past two decades. I’ve been a primary school teacher and foster carer, and since 2015, I’ve worked in children’s publishing and regional arts administration. I’m a Welsh learner, but still working on my pronunciation of y llyfr yn y llyfrgell (the book in the library).
